Vice President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee Tran Thanh Man paid a visit on Wednesday to Most Venerable Thich Thanh Sam, Deputy Patriarch and General Secretary of the Discernment Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha.

The VFF leader extended his best wishes for this important Buddhist festival to Most Venerable Thich Thanh Sam, who is also head of the Sangha Executive Committee of Bac Ninh province, and local dignitaries and followers.

Mr. Man praised the contributions Buddhists made to the election of deputies to the 14th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels last year.

The Buddhist Sangha in Bac Ninh has actively responded to Fatherland Front activities, including building new-style rural areas, helping children attend school, and caring for the poor and the disadvantaged.

Mr. Man said he hopes local dignitaries and followers will uphold the Sangha’s traditions and continue to participate in Fatherland Front movements under the motto “Religion – Nation – Socialism”.
