China’s CPI drops

(VOVworld) – China’s inflationary pressure continues to decrease when its consumer price index (CPI) dropped at the lowest level over the past 20 months. The National Bureau of Statistics today/ on Friday said China’s CPI is at 3.2 percent in February, a significant decrease compared with 4.5 percent in previous month. Food prices falling after a strong increase during Lunar New Year contributes to a lower CPI.
At the ongoing National People’s Congress in Beijing, China is set to achieve its economic growth rate 7.5 percent and bring down the CPI to under 4 percent this year.
