(VOVworld) – Colombian Interior Minister Juan Fernando Cristo said on Friday that the Colombian government and leaders of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) will sign a peace deal in May, missing the deadline set for March 23. Cristo’s announcement came after the President of Colombia, Juan Manuel Santos, and FARC said they failed to reach the deadline set in last September during their meeting in Cuba. But Cristo said the two sides are likely to adopt a truce on that day.
