COP23 affirms commitment to Paris Climate Agreement
(VOVWORLD) - The UN climate conference, COP23, concluded Saturday in Bonn, Germany, with nearly 200 countries reaffirming their commitment to the Paris Agreement on climate change and steps forward to mitigate greenhouse gas emission.

Participants agreed to start a so-called 'Talanoa Dialogue' (Facilitative Dialogue) next year to review plans on mitigating greenhouse gas emission to achieve ambitious targets of the Paris Agreement.
COP23 progressed in getting to work on a detailed "rulebook” to help guide the 2015 Paris climate accord, with a goal of ending the fossil fuel era this century. The rulebook is scheduled to be launched December next year.
