Friendship association helps enhance Japan-Vietnam relations

(VOVworld) – The Japan-Vietnam Friendship Association organized a ceremony to mark the association’s 60th founding anniversary ahead of its 61st national congress in Tokyo on May 16-17.

Association President Furuta Motoo, former Vietnamese ambassador to Japan and association Vice President Nguyen Phu Binh, and about 60 representatives attended the congress, which reviewed significant development milestones, the Association’s activities in 2014, and discussed directions for this year. Mr. Furuta Motoo said the Association’s key tasks are to support Vietnamese nationals in Japan, expand the teaching of Japanese language, and boost bilateral cooperation for peace and human development.
