Friendship Order bestowed upon WHO official
(VOVWORLD) - The Health Ministry on Wednesday presented the Friendship Order to Dr. Shin Young-soo, World Health Organisation (WHO) Regional Director for the Western Pacific, for his contributions to Vietnam’s healthcare sector.

Health Minister Nguyen Thi Kim Tien said that during his 10-year tenure, Dr. Shin worked with the Vietnamese government to deliver its vision of national health service. He has supported and consulted to the Ministry to reform Vietnam’s healthcare system, Ms. Tien said, adding that he helped build the Vietnamese Law on Health Insurance, Prevention and Control of Tobacco Harms, and the Law on Fighting Alcohol.
The Friendship Order is the most prestigious award given to foreign individuals and collectives who have made great contributions to the friendship between Vietnam and other countries.
