Greek President suggests education, culture cooperation with Ho Chi Minh City

(VOVWORLD) - Greek President Katerina Sakellaropoulou has told Ho Chi Minh city leaders that the two sides share their best practices in educational and cultural exchange, especially the preservation of historical sites against the impacts of climate change.

President Sakellaropoulou had a meeting with Chairman of Ho Chi Minh People's Committee Phan Van Mai on Wednesday during her official visit to Vietnam.

Mr. Mai welcomed the President and her high-ranking delegation to visit Ho Chi Minh City. Expressing his appreciation for the good diplomatic and friendly cooperation between Vietnam and Greece, he said that the city plays a leading role in Vietnam’s social economy and culture. Ho Chi Minh City is always ready to play an active role to boost cooperation between the two countries, he said.

The municipal leader proposed that Ho Chi Minh City and Greece strengthen business cooperation to promote more investment and trade between Greece and Vietnam in general, and with Ho Chi Minh City in particular.
