The sector announced 50 tourism projects, 20 of which are new this year, saying Ho Chi Minh City's tourism brand has been vigorously promoted abroad. It was "Asia's Leading Business Travel Destination", "Asia’s Leading Festival and Event Destination", and one of the 100 most popular tourist destinations in 2023.

Nguyen Trung Khanh, Chairman of the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism, said those achievements affirm the pivotal role the city has played in restoring the overall growth of Vietnam's tourism industry.

“Ho Chi Minh City leads Vietnam in organizing events to promote a diverse tourism image and brand. It has enriched its tourism products and attracted more tourists who stay longer and spend more money,” said Khanh.

Ho Chi Minh City aims to welcome 6 million foreign tourists and 38 million domestic tourists in 2024.
