(VOVworld) – Domestic and foreign art troupes performed in Hue city on Wednesday, concluding the 9^th Hue Festival.

The festival drew thousands of artists from 18 countries and territories (baoxaydung)

Themed “710 years of Thuan Hoa, Phu Xuan, Thua Thien – Hue, Cultural Heritage with Integration and Development”, this year’s festival honored the cultural beauty of the imperial city through different periods. Nguyen Dung, Vice Chairman of Thua Thien - Hue’s People's Committee said the festival preserves and promotes Vietnam’s culture and art and contributes to economic development, adding that Thua Thien - Hue is one of Vietnam’s main culture and tourism centers. The festival drew thousands of artists from 18 countries and territories. Le Thanh Cong from Quang Ngai province said: "I was most impressed by the lively street art performances, in which the artists and the audience harmonized beautifully. Many tourists were very happy to watch the night performances highlighting the charm of Hue. The art performances by domestic and foreign art troupes left many strong impressions on me."
