India, Republic of Korea strengthen co-operation

(VOVworld) – Indian Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj began her official visit to the Republic of Korea Sunday, furthering India’s “Look East” foreign policy.

Swaraj met with Korean Minister of Trade, Industry, and Energy Yoon Sang Jick and discussed ways to encourage co-operation. Swaraj and South Korean Foreign Minister Yun Byung Se will co-chair the 8th meeting of the India-Republic of Korea Foreign Minister Joint Committee on Monday, which will look at ways to foster co-operation in nuclear energy, investment, and defense.
