The invitation came after the two Koreas agreed to have their athletes to march together as one group during the Games’ opening ceremony. The Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) announced Wednesday that the two Koreas will field joint teams in basketball, canoeing, and rowing.

The 18th Asian Games will be held from August 18 to September 2 in Jakarta and Palembang, Indonesia, attended by 26 heads of state and 25,000 athletes and officials from 45 countries.
