Lao media commends Vietnamese President’s visit

(VOVworld) - Lao media have reported on the just concluded visit to Laos by Vietnamese President Truong Tan Sang. Laotian Paxason newspaper editorially emphasized special friendship and cooperation between the two Parties and peoples. The Lao national news agency, the Vientiane-May, the national Radio and TV on Friday highlighted the welcoming ceremony for the Vietnamese President. Major newspapers expressed the wish to foster the traditional friendship and multifaceted cooperation with Laos.
The media also covered President Sang’s activities during his stay in Laos, starting a Vietnam-Lao Friendship Year. On the spotlight was the President’s considerate talks with Lao retired leaders, including Sisavat Keobunphan, former Chairman of the Lao Front for National Construction, Khamtay Sivandone, former Lao Party General Secretary and State President.
