(VOVworld) - Choummaly Sayasone, General Secretary of the Laos People’s Revolutionary Party and State President has received a high-level delegation from the Vietnam Fatherland (VFF) Central Committee led by its President Nguyen Thien Nhan. At Saturday’s reception, the Lao President spoke highly of the delegation’s visit and congratulated Nhan on his election as VFF President.

The Vietnamese guest briefed the Lao General Secretary on the results of cooperation between the two fronts and the outcome of talks between the two delegations. He also affirmed Vietnam’s determination to elevate the Vietnam-Laos relations to new heights.

During his stay in Laos, VFF President Nhan on Sunday visited the Vietnamese Embassy in Vientiane, where he informed the Vietnamese community there of socio-economic situation and the success of the just-concluded 6^th session of the 13^th National Assembly in Vietnam.
