Legislators debate revisions to Law on Cultural Heritage

(VOVWORLD) - The National Assembly Standing Committee on Wednesday gave opinions on the draft revised Law on Cultural Heritage which creates a new legal basis for protecting and promoting cultural heritage values while harmonizing conservation and development.

Legislators also reviewed the Government's report on amendments and supplements to the Decree regarding overseas Vietnamese missions, and gave opinions on the Government's proposal on a pre-feasibility report for construction of the western North-South expressway’s Gia Nghia-Chon Thanh section.

Preparations for the NA’s 7th session at the end of May, and reorganization of the Informatics Center as the Department of Information Technology and Audit Data under the State Audit Office were also on the agenda.
