Mozambique- Vietnam's key cooperation partner in Africa

(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam treasures its traditional friendship and cooperation of Mozambique, considering the African country one of its key cooperation partners in Africa, says Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan.

Vice President Xuan was speaking at the talks with Mozambique Prime Minister Adriano Maleiane on Monday during her official visit to the country.

Prime Minister Adriano Maleiane said Mozambique considers Vietnam its top priority partners in Asia. 
The two leaders agreed to increase delegation exchanges, make more efforts to raise bilateral trade, create conditions for their products to penetrate into each other's markets, and encourage businesses of the two countries to expand cooperation.

They agreed that agriculture including aquaculture is the top priority area of bilateral cooperation. Mozambique asked Vietnam to help develop its infrastructure and transport, increase scholarships, enhance culture exchanges and strengthen cooperation in the fight against trans-national crimes. 
Ms. Xuan said Vietnam will consider increasing scholarships for Mozambican students.
The same day, the Vietnamese Vice President and the Vietnamese high ranking delegation met with leaders of the capital city of Mozambique, attended an inauguration ceremony for the new plaque of Ho Chi Minh Avenue, and visited the headquarters of Movitel, which officially launched its services in Mozambique in May 2012 and became the third mobile network operator in the country with 13 branches in 11 provinces and 157 districts.
