(VOVworld) – The 2-week session of the National Assembly Standing Committee closed on Monday in Hanoi. National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung said the committee commented on the revised 1992 Constitution, 14 draft laws, 2 supervisory reports, other reports and the agenda of the 6th National Assembly session. The committee also approved programs to prepare for the meeting the Inter-parliamentary Union (IPU) by 2015 in Vietnam and the 70th anniversary of the founding of the National Assembly. Hung called for thorough preparations for the upcoming National Assembly session, which he said would decide on many important issues facing the nation:“The law-making programs are heavy and the quality of the work must be ensured. The 6th National Assembly session will approve the Constitution, requiring a lot of work to be done". 

Earlier, the National Assembly Standing Committee commented on the draft law on construction.
