(VOVWORLD) - The 2023 Nha Trang-Khanh Hoa Sea Festival began on Sunday night in the central city of Nha Trang with a light show featuring more than 1,600 drones, the largest number ever seen in Vietnam.

The festival, part of the celebration of 370 years of Khanh Hoa province, will run until Tuesday with 70 events in Nha Trang and the neighborhoods.
“Through the festival, we hope to popularize the image of Khanh Hoa as a safe, hospitable, and dynamic destination, which is boosting its development and integration with its own cultural identity,” said Dinh Van Thieu, Vice Chairman of the Khanh Hoa provincial People’s Committee.
The highlights of the festival will be an art program and a music gala.
This year Khanh Hoa expects to draw four million tourists, including 1.5 million foreigners, and revenues of 870 million USD.
