Audiences will have the opportunity to enjoy award-winning animated films from the four participating countries, delve into the world of animation, and appreciate the cultural and artistic diversity of these countries, the Embassy of Peru in Vietnam said.

“Ainbo - Spirit of the Amazon” of Peru and “Historia de un oso” (Bear Story) of Chile will kick-off the event at 6:30 PM on Monday at the National Cinema Center in Ba Dinh district.

“Encanto” of Colombia, which won big at the 94th Academy Awards and an Oscar for the Best Animated Film in 2022, will follow up at 6:30 PM on Tuesday.

“Mi abuela Matilde” (My Grandma Matilde) of Mexico will be screened at the same time.

All films will have subtitles in both Vietnamese and English. Tickets for the event are free and can be picked up at the headquarters of Peruvian and Colombian embassies in Hanoi.

The festival was first held in the central city of Da Nang in 2019 and aims to offer Vietnamese viewers a comprehensive introduction to the traditional culture of the four countries.
