(VOVworld) – Republic of Korean (RoK) President Park Geun Hye is in Hanoi during a five-day state visit to Vietnam at the invitation of her Vietnamese counterpart Truong Tan Sang. The welcoming ceremony took place in Hanoi on Monday. On Sunday, Park and Vice President Nguyen Thi Doan attended a fashion show featuring her country’s traditional costume hanbok and Vietnamese long dress or ao dai. A high-level dialogue on economic cooperation between the Vietnamese government’s agencies and business representatives from Vietnam and the Republic of Korea opened in Hanoi on Sunday. The event was jointly organized by the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Korean Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The RoK is now one of Vietnam’s largest foreign investors with a total registered investment capital of almost 26 billion USD, contributing to Vietnam’s economic growth and economic restructure. The Vietnamese Government hopes that the RoK businesses will expand their investment in Vietnam in the years to come. On Sunday, The Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency opened a RoK-Vietnam technology cooperation center.
