Party delegation attends Party Congress in Mozambique

(VOVworld) – A Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) delegation led by Tran Dac Loi, Deputy Head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for External Relations attended the 10th Congress of Mozambique’s ruling Liberation Front Party (Frelimo). Loi highlighted the close bonds between the two parties during each other’s history of struggles for national liberation. He added Vietnam has been supporting Mozambique’s Liberation Front Party since its foundation 50 years ago. Since both countries established full diplomatic ties in June 1975, Vietnam and Mozambique has consolidated their traditional relations and shared similar values and interests.

On the sidelines of the Congress, the CPV delegation met with leaders and members of Frelimo party, visited a branch of Vietnam Military Telecommunications Corporation (Viettel) in Mozambique and attended the inauguration ceremony of the statue of Samora Machel, the first President of Mozambique.
