Party leader encourages more humanitarian and charitable deeds

(VOVWORLD) - Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong requested that the Vietnam Red Cross Society (VRC) further improve communications to encourage more humanitarian and charitable deeds.

Mr. Trong said at Monday’s meeting with 80 delegates attending the 11th National Congress of the Vietnam Red Cross Society.
The Party leader praised efforts by all-level VRC branches in performing their duties amid numerous difficulties caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
He noted, for the next five years, the VRC needs to pay due attention to its apparatus and membership development, and its members should be fully aware of their responsibility to fulfill tasks.

The Vietnam Red Cross Society has delivered both spiritual and material assistance worth over 980 million USD to millions of disadvantaged people.
