Poland, the Czech Republic support Vietnam’s pandemic control effort

(VOVWORLD) - More than 500,000 COVID-19 vaccine doses donated by the Polish Government were handed over to Vietnam at a ceremony held at Warsaw Chopin Airport on Friday, attended by diplomatic officials of both sides.

The batch of the vaccine is set to arrive in Ho Chi Minh City on Saturday. It is expected that a shipment of essential medical equipment for COVID-19 prevention and control will be transferred to Vietnam in the coming weeks.
Meanwhile, another 250,000 vaccine doses from the Czech Republic are expected to arrive in Vietnam next week. The Republic has agreed to transfer half a million doses and various test kits to Vietnam for pandemic control.
