President attends opening of National Defence Academy’s new academic year
(VOVWORLD) - On Tuesday President Vo Van Thuong attended the opening ceremony of the 2023‑2024 academic year of the National Defense Academy – the leading military scientific research and training center of the army and Vietnam at large.

Mr. Thuong requested the academy to continue working to increase the quality of education and training and to actively contribute to improving the capacity of officers to meet the requirements of national construction and defense in the new situation.

President Vo Van Thuong urged the academy to play an active role, promote creativity, and take the lead in implementing the guideline on improving the training quality to ensure combat readiness as assigned by the Party Central Committee’s Military Commission, and the Ministry of National Defense.
"Upholding its achievements over the past years, the academy needs to continue to reform its training program and promote scientific research in line with the national defense strategy in the new context and improve the quality of cadres’ training while fostering and improving their knowledge on national defense and security by cadres, and ensure the fulfilment of the tasks of safeguarding national defense and security while aligning with new combat methods in the world," he said.
