(VOVworld) – President Truong Tan Sang on Thursday in Hanoi received the Speaker of the Australian House of Representatives Anna Burke, who is visiting Vietnam. Sang said that he believed Burke’s visit would help boost bilateral diplomatic relations. He welcomed the signing of a new Memorandum of Understanding between the two legislative bodies, promising more favorable conditions for further successful cooperation between the two sides. The Vietnamese President appreciated the relationship between the two countries over the past 40 years, saying the Vietnamese State has always cared about the Vietnamese community in Australia. He said he hoped that the Australian House of Representatives, Government and people would create favorable conditions for the Vietnamese's contributions to their host country.
