Prime Minister urges Vietnam and Hungary to boost ties

(VOVWORLD) - Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc said the upcoming visit to Vietnam by Hungarian Prime Minister Orban Vicktor will open up many cooperation opportunities for the two countries with a number of agreements expected to be signed.

At Tuesday’s reception for Hungarian Ambassador to Vietnam Ory Csaba in Hanoi, Mr. Phuc said Hungary is Vietnam’s biggest ODA provider in East Central Europe. He urged Ambassador Csaba to encourage Hungarian businesses to invest in health care, water resource management, and food processing in Vietnam. 

Csaba said Prime Minister Vicktor’s visit will create momentum for the bilateral relationship.

Accompanying the Prime Minister will be about 70 enterprises. A business forum will be held for the two business communities to find cooperation opportunities.

Csaba said that, at the suggestion of Prime Minister Vicktor, Hungary will double to 200 the number of scholarships offered to Vietnamese students and he called on the two countries to expand their partnership in health care, water treatment and supply, computing, e-public administration, agriculture, and food safety.
