(VOVworld)- At least 18 people were killed and 37 others wounded in a big explosion at a railway station in Volgograd city in Russia on Sunday. According to investigators, a device exploded near a metal detector in a crowded baggage line at the station. An unidentified female is believed to have carried out this suicide bombing. Vladimir Ustinov, Presidential Envoy to the Southern Federal District, visited Volgograd to direct the investigation and rescue work. Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has asked the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the Ministry of Health to assist victims of the attack.
