Texas shooting: US Air Force fails to include gunman's criminal history
(VOVWORLD) - The US Air Force says it failed to provide information about a Texas gunman's criminal history to a law enforcement database — something that should have blocked any legal access to firearms in the United States.

Air Force spokeswoman Ann Stefanek said in a statement on Monday that Kelley’s domestic violence offense was not entered into the National Criminal Information Center database by Air Force officials at Holloman Air Force Base where he had served. Kelley was convicted on charges of assaulting his then-wife and stepson and served 12 months in confinement.
While authorities have not publicly identified a motive for the attack, they emphasized that the shooting did not appear to be fueled by racial or religious issues. Instead, they pointed to the gunman’s problems with his relatives.
