The Columbus Dispatch quoted Kody Robertson, who accompanied Vo to the music concert, as saying that he threw himself on her when the shooting began. Robertson and others carried Vo out of the venue, took turns performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) on Vo and brought her to a hospital. He learned at 2pm the next day that Vo did not survive.

With nearly 600 people injured or dead, the mass shooting at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino is the deadliest in US history. Hospital officials say at least 45 people are still in critical condition after being wounded during the shooting.

President Tran Dai Quang and Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc on Tuesday delivered condolences to US President Donald Trump.
