Sathir Wothongthey, one of the protest leaders, says they are not swayed by the warrants and will continue organising demonstrations until Yingluck Shinawatra’s government resigns. Thailand’s Election Commission says 46.79% of Thailand’s voters participated in the general election held last Sunday, though voting in 9 provinces was postponed due to the lack of votes as a result of demonstrations.

The EC will discuss all matters related to the election today. Previously, the ruling Pheu Thai Party called for the EC to dissolve the Democratic Party and ban its executive committee’s members from all political activities for 5 years.
