(VOVworld) - A Lao airlines plane crashed into the Mekong river on Wednesday, killing all 44 people on board, including 3 Vietnamese and the flight crew. The plane left the capital of Vientiane and crashed just 8 kilometers from its Pakse city destination in Champassak province in southern Laos. Thailand's Bangkok Post newspaper said the plane was brought down by bad weather. Aviation officials and the Lao government have yet to comment on the crash.
