Vietnam attends 2nd Global French Language Forum

(VOVworld) – Vietnamese representatives and 1,200 other delegates are gathering in Liege, Belgium, to exchange their creative projects at the 2nd Global French Language Forum.

This year’s forum has introduced 130 projects and approximately 100 events

The 4-day forum, which opened on Monday, is hosted by the International Organisation of Francophony and the authorities of the Wallonie-Brussels region.
The Francophone Secretary-General Michaëlle Jean said at the opening ceremony that the event offers an opportunity to honour the French language through creativity and innovation, and called on the global Francophone community to foster creativity.
This year’s forum introduces 130 projects and 100 events related to education, economics, culture and cultural industries, the relationship between French language and creativity, and citizens’ rights.
The Vietnamese delegation includes a number of young lecturers and students from universities in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, and Can Tho.
Students from Phan Chu Trinh and Hoang Hoa Tham high schools in Da Nang brought to the event a project entitled “Francophone Rendezvous,” which promotes the coastal city of Da Nang to French-speaking tourists.
