(VOVWORLD) -A book festival themed “Nurturing Knowledge – Creating Future” opened at Hanoi Book Street on Wednesday with a range of attractive activities.

The events were co-organized by the Hoan Kiem District People’s Committee and publishers and bookstores in response to the 3rd Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day celebrated on April 21.
Doan Nguyen Hai Yen, a visitor, said: “The event in response to the “Book and Reading Culture Day” encourages people’s reading habit. There are plenty of books and meaningful activities.”
During the Book Festival, there will be contests to draw one’s favorite book and arrange book discussions, exchanges with authors, and instruction on reading skills.
