The paper said this is President Moon’s second visit to Vietnam in just four months, adding that he was here in November for the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Summit and the repeated visits to show President Moon's eagerness to elevate bilateral relations.

According to the Korea Times, the upcoming meeting between Mr Moon and Vietnamese President Tran Dai Quang is an opportunity to strengthen economic cooperation and boost bilateral ties. The paper noted that Vietnam holds much promise for economic cooperation and the two countries are already vital trade partners and enjoy strong personnel exchanges, one of the main reasons President Moon sees Vietnam as central to his New Southern Policy.
