The first meeting took place on Monday at the ASEAN Headquarters in Jakarta, Indonesia.

The Vietnamese delegation was led by Ambassador Nguyen Hai Bang, Permanent Representative of Vietnam to ASEAN.

In the future, delegates said ASEAN will mobilise resources with the support of partners to push ahead with projects in strategic areas, including promoting sustainable infrastructure construction, developing data on trade routes, building Open ASEAN data, developing ASEAN digital platforms, improving vocational training, and developing ASEAN human resources.

The meeting also underscored the need to strengthen information dissemination about the content and benefits of the MPAC 2025, and continue to promote the communication strategy of the MPAC 2025 this year.

Delegates agreed on the participation of ASEAN’s specialized agencies in deploying MPAC 2025 projects, increasing coordination, and linking the MPAC 2025 initiatives and those of regional and ASEAN partners.

The ACCC was established to oversee, assess and make periodic reports to the ASEAN Coordinating Council (ACC) and the ASEAN Summit on situation and challenges in implementing the MPAC 2025.
