Addressing the event, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh praised the role and achievements of the working group over the past 4 years.

He said they have contributed to creating a breakthrough in Vietnam’s global defense integration into the world and laying a firm foundation for Vietnam to play a greater role in international peacekeeping missions. “We consider contributing to global peace and security as safeguarding our own peace, security, and development. I have asked for efforts to boost human resources training, particularly in professional capacity and language proficiency, in order to take on more important peacekeeping missions. It’s important to take advantage of external resources, including those of the UN and other key partners, for defense work.”
