Prime Minister Luxon invited Prime Minister Chinh to step onto the podium of honor. The military band played the Vietnamese national anthem as the Vietnamese national flag was raised and fluttered in the wind, followed by 19 rounds of cannon fire to welcome the Prime Minister and the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation.

After the welcoming ceremony, the two PMs held talks.

During his visit, Prime Minister Chinh will meet and hold talks with senior leaders of New Zealand to discuss measures to boost bilateral cooperation in areas such as trade, investment, labor, education-training, and agriculture.

He will work with New Zealand's leading associations and businesses and visit and work with New Zealand science, technology and education organizations.
