Vietnam seeks more foreign investors

(VOVworld) – Vietnam has improved its investment environment with more stable macro-policies and higher quality manpower. The improvement was agreed on by French and overseas Vietnamese entrepreneurs at a ceremony in Paris on Tuesday to award a medal for "Development of Industry and Trade in Vietnam", attended by the Vietnamese Minister of Industry and Trade Vu Huy Hoang.

French entrepreneur Jacques de Chateauvieux, who has invested 150 million euro in Vietnam, said French businesses here have successfully created Viet brand values with the use of the Vietnamese labor force and the support of legal infrastructure and authorities. Foreign firms have seen improvements in Vietnam’s investment environment over the past 2 decades, thanks to laws defining investment procedures, current infrastructure, and stable investment promotion policies. He spoke highly of the Vietnamese labor force, not only for their skill but also for their business management and creativity. Chateauvieux appreciated the efforts of his subsidiaries in Vietnam to make their products recognized in foreign markets as meeting international quality standards, thus fostering consumer confidence in items of Vietnamese origin.
