Vietnam to review 25 years of FDI attraction

(VOVworld) – Foreign direct investment (FDI) over the past 25 years has made positive impacts on Vietnam’s socio-economic development. The 25-year process will be reviewed in a conference in February, proposed by the Ministry of Planning and Investment and recently approved by Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung. Statistics show that FDI projects have secured a significant ratio of total export revenues and generated about 2 million direct jobs and tens of thousands indirect ones. In 2012, Vietnam mainly attracted FDI in infrastructure, green industry, production network, and global value chain.
