Vietnam values multi-faceted ties with Bulgaria

(VOVWORLD) - National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue emphasized the close friendship and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Bulgaria over the past 73 years, adding that Vietnam is committed to strengthening ties with Bulgaria.

Receiving Simon Dimchev, Chairman of the Bulgaria-Vietnam Friendship Association, in Sofia on Sunday, Chairman Hue said Vietnam values its friendly relations and multi-faceted cooperation with Bulgaria, and will support the Association’s proposal to enhance cultural, educational, and local cooperation. Mr. Hue asked the Union of Vietnamese Friendship Organizations, the Vietnam-Bulgaria Friendship Association, and the Vietnamese Embassy in Bulgaria to actively promote exchange activities between the peoples of both countries.

Mr. Dimchev briefed the Vietnamese NA leader on the Association’s major activities, including initiatives to introduce Vietnam’s culture, land, and people in Bulgaria, adding that Mr. Hue’s official visit to Bulgaria shows the importance of cooperation and people-to-people exchanges in addition to diplomatic efforts. Since its establishment in 1993, the Bulgaria-Vietnam Friendship Association has maintained regular communication with the Vietnam-Bulgaria Friendship Association.
