On this occasion, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan sent congratulatory messages to Prime Minister Dmitri Medvedev, Speaker of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of Russia Valentina Matviyenko, and State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin.

In these messages, the Vietnamese leaders wrote: “The Vietnam-Russia traditional friendship and comprehensive strategic partnership have continued attaining encouraging achievements as the two countries marked the 70th anniversary of their diplomatic ties”.

They expressed their belief that with determination of the two countries, bilateral ties would attain practical achievements.

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh sent his greetings to Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.
