Vietnamese National Day marked abroad

(VOVworld) - Activities to mark Vietnam's National Day on September 2nd have been held around the world.

At a banquet in Vientiane on Friday, Vietnamese Ambassador to Laos Nguyen Manh Hung highlighted the special friendship between the two countries that was established and developed by President Ho Chi Minh, President Kayson Phamvihane, and President Souphanuvong. This relationship has been nurtured and developed into a cultural heritage of the two nations and a firm belief for future growth.

On the same day, a similar event was held in Moscow by the Vietnamese Embassy. Ambassador Pham Xuan Son and Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Karasin reviewed new developments in bilateral cooperation over the years. They pledged to do their utmost to bring the Vietnam – Russia comprehensive strategic partnership to a new height contributing to consolidating regional and global peace and stability.

The Vietnamese Embassies in India, Argentina, Germany, Sri Lanka, and Singapore have also organized meetings to celebrate the 68th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day.

On Friday, leaders of many countries around the world have sent messages of congratulation to Vietnam on its National Day.
