Anatasia Suvorova, a teacher from Magia contemporary dance theater,  promoted the idea of a Vietnamese Tet party, at which members of her dance team made Chung cakes and spring rolls, created a five-fruit tray, and decorated peach branches. Ms. Suvorova said: "After our visit to Vietnam last year, we become so interested in Vietnamese customs that we are eager to learn more about your country. In contrast to Europeans, Vietnamese people prepare for the New Year many days before and worship their ancestors. We are very excited to get involved in Tet preparations."

Student Kristina said, comparing Vietnamese Tet with the Russian New Year: "I find Vietnam’s Tet celebration very unique and interesting. I love making Chung cakes and spring rolls. During my visit to Vietnam, I found Vietnamese people very friendly and the weather very lovely. I will definitely come back to Vietnam and discover more places."

Getting more interested in Vietnam, Russian people are spending more time learning about Vietnamese culture or even learning to speak Vietnamese.
