Vietnamese tourists warned to leave Bali because of menacing volcano

(VOVWORLD) - The Vietnamese Embassy in Indonesia issued a travel warning for Vietnamese tourists intending to visit Bali after Indonesian authorities on Monday raised the alert for Mount Agung’s impending eruption to the highest level.

The embassy said a group of Vietnamese tourists stranded in Bali by the closure of Denpasar International Airport had contacted the embassy for help. They were directed to take a ferry from Bali to Surabaya city in East Java and then take a flight to Jakarta. The tourists arrived safely in Jakarta on Monday evening.
