(VOVworld) - Journalist Nguyen Phuong Lieu of the Dong Nai newspaper has won first prize for the press competition “Life breathing rhythm” to improve public awareness of tuberculosis prevention and control.

The award ceremony on May 13th in Hanoi

Launched by the National Program on TB Prevention and the World Health Organization last December, the competition aims to provide important information about the disease and raise public awareness on TB prevention and treatment. The award ceremony took place in Hanoi Sunday evening. Earlier, a Healthcare Consultation Day was organized for Hanoians, offering free check-ups, books, and magazines about healthcare, and an exhibition about the achievements of the national program on TB prevention.
