The event the first of its kind, will introduce local specialties to international friends as an effective way to encourage investment. Nguyen Ngoc Thuong, Director of the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, said: “The lotus festival will be held in an open space with 2 main formats including exhibits and activities which will enable visitors to join in. At this event, the image of Dong Thap lotus flowers will be promoted and celebrated.”
