Border guards in southwestern region tighten control amid COVID-19 fears

Border guards from neighbouring localities, including Da Nang and Binh Dinh, are mobilised to support the southwestern region to tighten control of border crossings.

Soldiers are implementing a range of prevention measures to raise awareness among local fishermen regarding the dangers of the COVID-19 epidemic.

Soldiers request that residents inform them anytime they detect any cases of illegal entry.

Kien Giang province is carrying out plans to cope with the worst-case scenario including building a field hospital in Ha Tien city and expanding isolation areas to combat the pandemic.

(VOVWORLD) - Border forces operating in the southwestern region have joined with local people to prevent illegal entry into the country as a means of curbing the spread of the SARS-CoV-2 virus, amid the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic in neighboring countries.
