The show is held at the Truc Lam Yen Tu Cultural Centre.
Roughly 300 artists, actors, actresses, and models introduce the Ao Dai collections of 12 fashion designers, including Minh Hanh, Miss Vietnam 2010 Ngoc Han, Cao Minh Tien, and Trung Beret.
The Ao Dai collections are inspired by Buddhist culture, as well as the beautiful landscape of the Yen Tu relic complex.
The event features the participation of many families of foreign ambassadors and representatives of international organisations in Vietnam, such as the UN Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) and the World Health Organization (WHO).
EU Ambassador to Vietnam Giorgio Aliberti and his family members model the Ao Dai at the show.
Moroccan Ambassador to Vietnam Jamale Chouaibi and his wife dress in an Ao Dai which is inspired by the landscape of Yen Tu relic complex.
Italian Ambassador to Vietnam Antonio Alessandro shares some of the similarities in culture between Vietnam and Italy.
Christian Manhart, representative of UNESCO to Vietnam, is hugely impressed by the majestic landscape of Yen Tu relic complex.
Kidong Park, representative of the WHO to Vietnam, his wife, and two daughters join the fashion show by wearing colourful Ao Dai designs.
The event helps to boost cultural exchanges between Vietnam and other countries worldwide.
The show is held as part of the Ao Dai Festival Quang Ninh 2022 to stimulate tourism demand after a long period of being negatively influenced by the COVID-19 pandemic.
