The Vietnam International Defence Expo 2022 (Vietnam Defence 2022) is the first of its kind and is running between December 8 and December 10 in Hanoi, with the event showcasing a range of weapons, technology solutions, and equipment.

The Vietnam Air Force’s SPYDER-MR medium range mobile air defence system is put on display.
The SPYDER (Surface-to-air Python and Derby) is a short and medium range mobile air defence system developed in Israel. There are two variants of the SPYDER, including the SPYDER-SR (short range) and the SPYDER-MR (medium range).
On display are a range of vehicles used by military forces.
The battle tank T90S weighs 46.5 tonnes and has maximum speed of 60 kilometres per hour.
Soldiers regularly maintain the military equipment and weapons in an effective manner.
The expo also serves as a platform to introduce unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) manufactured by Vietnam.
The S125-2TM surface-to-air missile system is showcased.
The exhibition is scheduled to last through to December 10, with the event attracting exhibitors from 30 countries and territories worldwide.
A number of conferences on co-operation in the defence industry is set to be held within the framework of the event.

(VOVWORLD) - An array of military equipment and weapons belonging to the Vietnam People’s Army are currently on display at the debut Vietnam International Defence Expo 2022 (Vietnam Defence 2022) which is underway in Hanoi.
