PM Chinh pays a visit to Japan from November 22 to November 25 at the invitation of his Japanese counterpart Fumio Kishida. He is the first foreign leader to visit Japan since the formation of the new Japanese Government.

They hold talks on measures to bolster the Vietnam – Japan cooperation in various areas, from politics to economy-trade-investment, innovation, digital transformation, culture, education, among others.
The two sides agree to promote security and defence cooperation, especially in the field of technology transfer of defense equipment, military medicine, and cyber security, whilst also participating in UN peacekeeping forces.
The two PMs witness the signing of 11 documents between the two countries’ ministries, relevant agencies, and businesses in such fields as environmental protection, land management, military medicine, cybersecurity, and human resource development.
They hold a brief pressing, announcing that they have agreed to bring the Vietnam – Japan extensive strategic partnership to new heights.
During a meeting with Speaker of the House of Representatives Hosoda Hiroyuki, PM Chinh expresses his pleasure at the comprehensive development of the Vietnam – Japan extensive strategic partnership.
Meeting with Japanese President of the House of Councilors Santo Akiko, the Vietnamese PM hopes that the House of Councilors will support major collaboration plans between the two countries.
PM Chinh holds a dialogue alongside leading Japanese investors on November 24.
The Vietnamese Government leader pays visits to various Japanese localities, including Tochigi Prefecture where he meets with Governor Tomikazu Fukuda (R).

During a meeting with representatives of the Vietnamese community in Japan, the PM thanks the citizens for supporting the nation amid difficulties with various practical and effective activities.
The two countries issued a joint statement, agreeing to promote bilateral cooperation across many fields.
