(VOVworld) - Entitled “Safeguarding national Sea and Islands”, an exhibition opened on Tuesday at the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum, featuring 55 paintings, graphics and sculptures by artists from different generations. The exhibition depicts the beauty of Vietnam’s seas and islands and the peaceful lives of fishermen as well as the sailors who have overcome a lot of difficulties to defend the country’s sovereignty. Nguyen Anh Nguyet, Deputy Director of the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum told VOV: Artists of different generations and periods have different ways and use different materials to express their ideas. There are a variety of styles but I care more about the content of each art work. Through this exhibition, we can see the tradition of patriotism and self-esteem of the Vietnamese people. The exhibition will be open until next Tuesday.
